Job Summary
Senior UPS Field Service Engineer III to lead and independently execute commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and field modifications on UPS systems and related critical power equipment. Role involves leading commissioning-focused design reviews, developing test procedures, and overseeing on-site testing across multiple OEM platforms (Eaton, Schneider/Vertiv, Mitsubishi, ABB, Toshiba). Acts as a technical escalation point, mentors FSE I/II in the region, and participates in periodic training at headquarters. Requires extensive hands-on experience in UPS/critical power, strong diagnostic and repair skills, client-facing communication, readiness to work nights/weekends/on-call, and ability to travel within the Atlanta, GA territory. Compensation is market-competitive with comprehensive benefits and a home-based/field deployment structure.
Required Qualifications
- 8–15+ years of hands-on UPS and critical power experience
- multi-platform proficiency across major UPS equipment brands
- ability to independently troubleshoot complex equipment
- proficiency with hand tools and test equipment
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently with sound judgment
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call
- physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- clean driving record
