Job Summary
Electrical Building Engineer role supporting critical electrical operations in data center environments. Responsible for daily inspections of UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment; monitoring electrical parameters; battery room inspections; routine electrical system checks with documentation; battery maintenance under supervision; preventive maintenance on electrical distribution systems; assist with troubleshooting under supervision; manage work orders in CMMS; coordinate with vendors; respond to alarms and incidents to ensure rapid resolution. Requires hands-on electrical experience, knowledge of electrical fundamentals, inspection and measurement skills, and strong communication. On-site in Spartanburg, SC with day and night shifts available; travel and relocation not specified. Preferred qualifications include CMMS experience and EPA 608 certification; associate degree in relevant field.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems in data center or critical facility environments
- Solid working knowledge of electrical fundamentals including AC/DC systems
- Electrical safety principles
- Basic troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with electrical inspection procedures
- Proficiency with electrical measurement tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and collaboration
- Experience with CMMS platforms for maintenance management (preferred)
- Associate degree in electrical technology, electrical engineering technology, or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ pounds and climbing ladders
- Availability for emergency response and varied schedules
