Job Summary

Teach multiple sections of Upper School mathematics including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus, utilizing differentiated instruction and multi-sensory methods to support diverse learners. Design daily lesson plans and create equitable assessments that foster math confidence and self-advocacy in students preparing for college. Partner with the Learning Services team and counselors to implement accommodations for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. Serve as an Upper School Advisor, guiding a small cohort of students academically and socially-emotionally throughout the year. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum mapping, and professional development while fulfilling assigned non-instructional duties. Begin August 13, 2026, as a full-time educator within McLean School's collaborative community.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field

  • An understanding of how students with dyscalculia, math anxiety, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges learn, alongside strategies to support them
  • Familiarity with and passion for individualized, strengths-based approaches to teaching math concepts
  • An open-minded, flexible, and collaborative approach to McLean's uniquely successful ways of working with students' academic and social-emotional needs
