Upper School Leave Replacement Counselor

The Pingry School seeks a one-year, full-time Leave Replacement Counselor for Middle and Upper School to provide high-level social, emotional, and behavioral support. You will co-counsel with the full-time Upper School Counselor, engage in joint student support initiatives, and participate in crisis management before transitioning to a full-time role. Responsibilities include counseling and intervention with students individually and in groups, crisis intervention, faculty consultation, collaboration with the CAST, maintaining confidential records, facilitating appropriate referrals to external providers, and contributing to community-wide well-being programming. You will support student well-being, partner with parents, and participate in student-life activities. Qualifications require a Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and professional licensure or certification, with experience in school-based counseling and adolescent development. Proficiency with educational technology and Google Suite/learning management systems is preferred.
