Job Summary
UPMC Kane seeks a solo General Surgeon for a full-time, independent role in a 14-bed critical access hospital. The position offers autonomy with full hospital and administrative support, a busy schedule with approximately 80-100 procedures per month, and a broad general-surgery scope including laparoscopies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, endoscopies, colonoscopies, and enteric procedures. No OB responsibilities, a hands-on environment, and regional care coordination via EPIC EMR. Relocation assistance, sign-on, CME days and stipend, PSLF eligibility, and employer-paid malpractice insurance are included. Qualifications include MD/DO, completed general surgery residency, ABMS board eligibility or certification, PA license eligibility, and DEA certification. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited General Surgery Residency Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in General Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
