Job Summary
Solo General Surgeon role at a 14-bed critical access hospital in Kane, PA within the UPMC network. Independent solo practice with full hospital and administrative support; busy schedule anticipated with 80-100 procedures monthly and no OB responsibilities. Wide range of general surgery cases including laparoscopies, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, endoscopies, colonoscopies, and enterectomies, with streamlined admissions coordinated through EPIC EMR. Hands-on environment with no robotic program, ideal for surgeons who value traditional, hands-on continuity of care and community-based impact. Competitive compensation with incentives, relocation assistance, CME days and stipend, and PSLF eligibility. Requires MD/DO, General Surgery residency, board eligibility/certification, PA license, and DEA certification.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited General Surgery Residency Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in General Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
