UPK Lead Teacher (Albany)

Lead planning, developing, and instructing students aged 3-4 in accordance with the approved CSDA curriculum goals and second-step standards. Collaborate with a Teaching Assistant to implement lessons, provide clear guidance, conduct regular evaluations, and offer mentorship to foster a supportive team dynamic. Design engaging weekly lesson plans, differentiate instruction for diverse needs, and facilitate small group and whole class learning experiences using resources like Learning Without Tears and 2nd Step. Conduct ongoing assessments using observations and portfolios, provide progress reports to parents, and maintain accurate documentation. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, enforce sanitation procedures, and monitor student wellness in a classroom of 18 students. This 10-month position (August 2025-June 2026) supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area mission to enable youth to realize their full potential.
