Job Summary
Upholstery Insider in Hickory, NC responsible for assembling and upholstering leather furniture to company specifications. Duties include reading production orders, measuring, cutting, fitting, stretching, and securing leather to frames; installing foam, padding, webbing, springs, and cushioning materials; inspecting leather for defects; maintaining quality standards; operating upholstery equipment (staple guns, hand tools, pneumatic tools); and meeting daily production goals. Requires experience with leather furniture, ability to read measurements, use upholstery tools and sewing equipment, strong attention to detail, good dexterity, and the ability to work safely in a production environment. Shift: Monday-Thursday 7am–4:30pm, Friday 7am–11am. Pay depends on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Previous upholstery, furniture manufacturing, or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of leather upholstery techniques and furniture construction
- Ability to use upholstery tools, staple guns, air tools, and sewing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to read measurements and follow specifications accurately
- Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
