Job Summary
Upholsterer responsible for creating, repairing, and installing upholstery for boat interiors, including seats, cushions, headliners, and other fabric components. Tasks include measuring, cutting, and fabricating with vinyl, leather, fabric, and foam; using sewing machines, staplers, and scissors to ensure a secure, precise fit; assessing existing upholstery and planning repairs or replacements; maintaining upholstery equipment; and ensuring finished products meet quality standards. Knowledge of materials (vinyl, leather, fabric, foam) and related tools, with a focus on safety, organization, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues
- Knowledge of programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automating and controlling electrical systems
- Understanding of power distribution systems and their maintenance
- Attention to detail
- Good Communication
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments
- Certifications in upholstery, sewing, or related technical skills (preferred)
- Extensive experience in upholstery or a related field (preferred)
