Upfitter Technician

Job Summary
Install and mount service bodies, liftgates, cranes, toolboxes, lighting systems, and auxiliary components on vehicles. Modify and fabricate parts to fit custom specifications while performing wiring, hydraulic, and pneumatic system installations and repairs. Read technical drawings, work orders, and installation instructions to ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and functionality. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized conditions. Communicate with supervisors, project managers, or customers regarding requirements and progress. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as an upfitter, mechanic, fabricator, or installer
