UPAC Advanced Practice Provider

APRN – Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) at University of Miami Health System. Educator, advocate and care provider responsible for perioperative care and medical clearance. Performs and documents complete history and physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments. Works independently and in collaboration with anesthesia, surgery, internal medicine, and other healthcare professionals; optimizes comorbidities for elective surgeries and participates in perioperative risk stratification, medication reconciliation, and referrals as needed. The role emphasizes education for patients and families, adherence to policies, and contribution to a high-quality academic medical center environment.
