Job Summary
Provide compassionate, high-quality care supporting residents' health, safety, and well-being while maintaining accurate records and required documentation per policies and legislative requirements. Administer medications as prescribed, observe changes in condition, and report them to the Director of Wellness. Report incidents, near misses, or resident problems to the Director of Wellness or General Manager. Guide Guest Attendants to ensure care assignments are completed and changes in resident needs are reported. Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles. Perform other duties as assigned. Work part-time shifts (7:00am-3:00pm) with rotating schedules, including Thursday/Monday and Saturday days.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program
- Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and successful ongoing quarterly evaluation of competencies
- Current CPR training
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
