Job Summary
Conduct daily newsroom operations under supervision, collaborating with reporters, photojournalists, and producers to support live broadcasts and digital content. Participate in meaningful learning experiences while adhering to strict safety rules and maintaining confidentiality regarding company trade secrets. Submit weekly logs and maintain advanced skill levels for complex projects, with schedules determined by college credit requirements. This unpaid role is designed for juniors and seniors in broadcast journalism or video production seeking hands-on experience within Nexstar's local television broadcasting group.
Required Qualifications
- Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees
- Internships must be for school credit
- Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
- A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
- Previous internship experience
- Must abide by all safety rules and procedures of Company
- Must exert best efforts in receiving training and cooperate with and follow the instructions of employees of Company
- Must maintain strictly the confidences of Company, the customers of Company, all information or data received regarding Company and any of its trade secrets or any other confidential business information received by the Student
