Job Summary
Identify marked and unmarked utilities and structures in the field, then follow established procedures to repair broken trace wires on unlocatable gas lines. Operate a vacuum truck and related tools including jackhammers, pogo-tampers, concrete saws, and compressors while using proper forms to document all work. Perform operator-level maintenance on assigned equipment and actively work toward obtaining required Operator Qualifications. Assist in implementing approved traffic control plans and handle tasks such as removing and replacing manhole lids. Work outdoors under all weather conditions while carrying equipment weighing up to 30 lbs and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully passing the company MVR requirements
- Clean background check
- Passing drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors under the full range of weather conditions typically experienced throughout all seasons of the year
- Ability to walk for extended periods over irregular terrain while carrying and/or employing any of the full range of surface geophysical and surveying equipment, the weight of such equipment is typically less than 30 lbs
- Ability to pick up and carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. for short distances and assist others to do the same
- Ability to remove and replace manhole lids and covers weighing up 50 lbs., with assistance
- Actively work toward obtaining Operator Qualifications required by the client(s)
