Job Summary
Tally donation containers with a supervisor before unloading merchandise, then rapidly pull boxes and bags from carts, melon boxes, and other containers. Separate all saleable items from trash, sending debatable goods to sorters while placing non-saleable items in trash or hampers. Push processed items to appropriate sorters or bins, ensuring variety to meet production timelines and goals. Maintain workstation cleanliness and organization, replacing empty carts and removing trash to ensure efficient flow. Communicate with the Back Up and supervisor to coordinate product movement, while adhering to safety policies and reporting hazards. Lift up to 50 lbs independently, push racks weighing 400 lbs, and move 500 lbs with a pallet jack. Work 100% standing or walking in a production environment with exposure to dust and temperature fluctuations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to unload quickly
- Must work well with the Back Up
- Must be able to separate saleable items from trash
- Must be able to send debatable items to the sorter
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push donation racks weighing up to 400 lbs
- Must be able to move up to 500 lbs with the aid of a pallet jack or dolly
- Must be able to bend and crouch
- Must have eye-hand coordination
- Must be able to reach above shoulder height
- Must be able to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for the entire work shift
- Must be flexible with scheduling changes due to store needs
- Must be able to work as a productive member of a team
- Must have good communication skills
- All employees are required to read the arc safety policy
- All employees are required to sign the document acknowledging the understanding of it
- All employees are required to practice the safety policy
- Must be able to provide help as needed to other employees
- Must be able to take the responsibility to report hazards to a supervisor
- Must be able to pick up loose items on the floor quickly
- Must be able to clean up breakages or spills
