Job Summary
Manage UNIX and Linux systems for NSWCDD, handling backup and recovery, software management, security administration, and library management. Perform hardware installation and configuration, operate systems across diverse environments, and execute performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resource allocation. Maintain network protocols including TCP/IP and apply major network security tools. Requires three years of professional experience and an active DoD Top Secret clearance designated as IAT II level. Work onsite in Dahlgren, VA, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional experience in UNIX and/or Linux System Administration of networks and software systems
- Experience in system backup and recovery
- basic software management
- security management and library management
- installation and configuration of hardware
- operational systems and COTS software
- operating computer systems in different operating environments
- sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software/network troubleshooting and resource allocation
- Experience in different network protocols including TCP/IP
- major network security tools
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Onsite in Dahlgren, VA
- Monday - Friday, 8am -4.30pm
