Job Summary
Develop and implement the curriculum and lesson plans for Universal Pre-K within the Lewiston-Porter School District. Conduct assessments to ensure academic growth for students while following program standards set by the YMCA, New York State Department of Education, and the School District. Perform administrative tasks, analyze survey data, and develop action plans to improve program quality. Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and school administration. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety rules, reporting injuries, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, ensuring PPE compliance, and organizing work areas. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the requirements outlined in the contract with the School District and/or the local Board of Education.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education.
- New York State Teacher Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience working with children and a background in education
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
