Job Summary
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Universal Financial Associate supports members with banking needs by preparing documents for meetings, reviewing accounts for completeness and compliance, opening/reviewing new accounts, and processing daily transactions. Responsibilities include proactive member follow-up, offering product and service recommendations to improve members’ financial health, assisting with loan applications, differentiating credit union products from competitors, and supporting branch activities to grow memberships and strengthen member relationships. The role involves handling deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, and currency exchange activities, all within the credit union’s member-focused, community-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of retail banking or sales experience (preferred)
- IFIC certification (valued)
- Post-secondary education in Finance or related studies (valued)
