Job Summary
Conduct teller and member service representative duties, including processing deposits, check cashing, loan payments, and cash advances while maintaining accurate daily cash drawer balancing. Open memberships and deposit accounts, assess member financial needs to identify cross-selling opportunities for VACU products, and handle phone inquiries professionally. Manage notary certifications, comply with federal and state regulations, and follow BSA, OFAC, and information security policies. Self-manage lobby leadership to maximize member experience and meet sales and service goals. Requires notary certification, high school diploma, and experience in cash handling or financial institutions.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory computer skills
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Customer/member service experience
- Cash handling/business experience at a financial institution
- Knowledge of TCD transaction and settlement procedures
- Required notary certification
- Must stay informed of all notary rules and regulations
- Comply with all published enterprise level policies and procedures
- Complete all required, ongoing enterprise level training including, but not limited to BSA, OFAC, and Information Security
- Must develop and maintain a working knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations including corporate policies and procedures
- Stay up to date on all required loan documents, systems, credit reports and related lending documents
- This job requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
- This job requires occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and/or up to 30 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Some college education or business courses preferred
- Thorough understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions preferred
