Job Summary
Universal Banker responsible for teller-based transactions and new account functions, cross-selling bank products/services, and delivering prompt, friendly service. Performs deposits/withdrawals, orders checks and debit cards, wires, balances accounts, and assists with safekeeping tasks such as safety deposit boxes. Maintains knowledge of products/services, explains services and charges, researches inquiries, and handles related clerical tasks. Follows audit, security policies, and bank procedures; may provide notary public service. Requires HS diploma, 1+ year of customer service and cross-selling experience, 1+ year teller/cash-handling experience, numerical data entry accuracy, strong math ability, and excellent interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- At least 1 year customer service and cross-selling experience
- At least 1 year of teller or cash-handling experience
- Ability to enter numerical data on computer with speed and accuracy
- Good mathematical aptitude to facilitate daily balancing
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with others
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and organize
