Job Summary
Assist with customer transactions on the teller line, including cashing checks, accepting deposits, and processing withdrawals. Open new consumer and small business deposit accounts accurately and set up debit cards, online, and mobile banking. Proactively engage customers to grow deposits through targeted outreach for CD maturities, new movers, and community events. Support deposit operations, including ACH and wire requests, stop payments, and Reg E dispute intake. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations to ensure compliance with BSA/AML, Reg CC/E, and privacy laws. Act as an escalation point for customer inquiries and escalate BSA/AML red flags appropriately. Utilize your ability to lead to bring bank staff together to execute strategic plans and suggest process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining accurate cash and error-free account documentation. This Universal Banker role is located in Slayton, MN, with a pay range of $18.00-20.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in banking or customer-facing sales
- Understanding of banking regulations
- Detail-oriented risk mitigator with accurate cash handling and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a very diverse environment with strong communication skills
- Hard-working self-starter with curiosity to challenge processes and motivation for advancement into management
- Candidate must pass a pre-employment screening including credit history and criminal record check
