Job Summary
Universal Banker (Part Time, 20 hours) at Truist in Washington, DC. Responsible for timely and efficient completion of client transactions, maintaining accurate records and handling monies, delivering superior service while identifying and understanding clients’ financial needs. Cross-trained to support sales and service activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. Responsibilities include educating clients on digital/self-service solutions (ATMs, Online/Mobile banking), participating in client outreach to identify needs or opportunities, contributing to sales processes, adhering to internal controls and policies, providing support for new account openings and issue resolution, and engaging in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and service delivery. Preferred qualifications include prior client relationship building or sales experience and knowledge of bank operations, with a willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs and to work weekends or extended hours as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
- Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
- Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included
