Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging clients professionally and resolving service-related issues timely. Process monetary and account transactions as a dual-capacity Customer Service Representative and Teller, handling vault operations, ATM maintenance, and new account openings while adhering to compliance and security policies. Acquire new clients, offer suitable banking products, and refer prospects to licensed representatives to achieve sales and referral goals. Assist in training and mentoring newly hired staff while maintaining detailed account records and building long-term relationships based on trust. Weekend work and extended hours may be required, with occasional travel for mandatory training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1-2 years retail banking experience in the combined experience of Teller/ Customer Service Representative
- Must present a confident, professional, and positive demeanor to customers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal + written) skills
- Must have excellent phone skills
- Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Display sound judgment and discretion when utilizing confidential information
- Willingness to be cross trained in other branch functions
- Ability to develop, as well as maintain a detailed level of knowledge of banking products and services
- Prior experience in fostering and developing strong customer relationships
- Must be able to handle all aspects of Teller operations by processing transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Must be able to assist in the opening and closing of vault, safe, and ATM machine
- Must be able to communicate all disclosures, rules, and regulations covering transactions, as well as FDIC protection to customers upon the opening of new accounts
- Must be able to ensure accurate new account record keeping practices and perform timely follow-up as needed
- Must be able to adhere to regulatory, compliance, security, and audit policies/procedures
- Must be able to protect Bank against loss by ensuring that all new account procedures including CIP and BSA requirements are adhered to
- Must be able to assist in training and mentoring of newly hired Tellers, Customer Service Representatives, and Universal Bankers
- Must be able to build and maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Must be able to perform additional duties as requested
- Must be available for weekend work and extended hours or filling in at neighboring branch locations
- Must be able to undergo mandatory training which may require occasional travel
