Job Summary
Universal Banker I provides teller services across in-person, phone, and digital channels; educates customers on digital tools; refers customers to Personal Bankers and lending specialists for deposits, consumer loans, home equity loans/lines, and credit cards; performs cash handling, balancing, and fraud-prevention steps; drives needs-based referrals and sales; ensures regulatory compliance (BSA/AML, KYC, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg E); supports branch goals through proactive engagement and community outreach; collaborates with team to maintain audit-ready accuracy and exceptional customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of cash-handling and customer-service experience required
- strong customer-service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to identify customer needs and confidently make referrals
- working knowledge of deposit products, digital tools, and basic banking services
- proficiency with banking systems, digital platforms, and Microsoft Office
