Job Summary
Process deposits, cash checks, and handle loan payments while entering transactions into the computer system and issuing receipts. Balance currency in the cash drawer, manage automated teller system deposits, and assist with daily ATM balancing duties. Issue cashier's checks and money orders, open consumer accounts, and complete domestic wires forms accurately. Maintain proper drawer currency limits, secure confidential records, and adhere to all bank policies and procedures. This role requires basic to advanced computer skills, general knowledge of bank operations, and the ability to interact effectively with the public. Candidates must demonstrate versatility in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional appearance that evokes customer trust.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of prior customer service experience
- outgoing, service-oriented personality
- general knowledge of bank operations
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- basic to advanced computer skills
- above average knowledge of fundamental arithmetic
- basic skills in operating a computer, printer, and copy machine
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including coin sorter and currency counter
- Ability to speak in a clear and understandable manner and write legibly
- Ability to answer telephones and greet public in a friendly and courteous manner
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to stand

- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
