Job Summary
Process transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts while opening new deposit accounts, handling wire transfers, and resolving customer complaints with discretion. Identify customer needs through active listening and expand relationships by making referrals for financial products and services. Maintain a neat work area, balance transactions daily, and ensure compliance with banking regulations including Regulation CC and the Bank Secrecy Act. Develop customer familiarity with self-service technology options and follow security and audit procedures. Requires one year of teller experience and six months in customer relationship building. Located in Charleston, SC.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Cash handling experience
- Sales experience
- Customer service experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers
- Must be able to travel to come to meetings or training as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous banking experience
- One year of teller or cash handling experience
- Six months customer relationship building or sales experience
- Demonstrated expertise in the Teller II and basic FSR job functions
