Job Summary
Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments while balancing cash drawers daily. Greet customers, answer inquiries about banking products, and resolve account issues by acting as a liaison between departments. Place holds on accounts requiring supervisory review and provide access to safe deposit boxes. Demonstrate risk management by reporting suspicious activity and adhering to Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering rules. Perform ATM/coin machine settlement and coordinate tasks with other personnel to ensure efficient office flow.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of guidelines for fraud prevention and robbery
- Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and regulations
- Knowledge of economic sanctions
- Knowledge of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) rules
- Knowledge of Bank customer identification program (CIP) rules
- Ability to balance cash drawers
- Ability to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of documents
- Ability to place holds on accounts
- Ability to provide access to safe deposit boxes
- Ability to perform ATM/coin machine settlement
- Ability to answer customer inquiries about account types and banking products
- Ability to research and resolve customer problems
- Ability to assist in creating Customer Identification File (CIF) records
- Ability to ensure operational and financial safety and soundness
- Ability to display a spirit of teamwork and dedication to the goals and objectives of the bank
