Job Summary
Greet customers, handle transactions, and solve problems ranging from deposits and withdrawals to account management and loan payments. Act as a financial advisor by suggesting products that help clients plan, save, and succeed while building lasting relationships. Maintain operational continuity by learning new systems, adhering to regulations, and receiving ongoing training. For Universal Banker III, lead the team during management absences and mentor new teammates. This role combines teller skills with sales savvy to support Northrim Bank's vision as Alaska's premier bank, offering a dynamic career path for those passionate about problem-solving and community impact.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months in cash-handling, retail, or hospitality
- 1+ year in banking OR 2+ years in customer service/cash-handling
- Degree in a related field can replace experience
- 3+ years of banking experience
- Leadership and mentoring experience preferred
- Able to run the branch in a pinch!
- Stellar communication and people skills
- Detail-driven and highly organized
- Great under pressure and loves a good challenge
- Tech-savvy with MS Office and banking software
- Team player, self-starter, and fast learner
