Job Summary
Process monetary transactions including cashing checks, accepting deposits, loan payments, and withdrawals while balancing accounts daily and maintaining adequate cash supply in the drawer. Operate coin and bill counting machines, manage night deposits under dual control, and balance the branch ATM and vault logs. Respond to phone calls, direct customers to appropriate personnel, and process wire transfers, debit card orders, and hold requests in compliance with regulations. Rotate open and closing duties with other tellers and work the drive-thru window as requested. Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds while ensuring confidentiality and educating customers on products and fees. Rotate Saturday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Effectively communicate with customers and co-workers while ensuring confidentiality of information
- Ability to work with others and demonstrate self-reliance and resourcefulness
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in banking
- Educate customers regarding bank products, fees, services, bank legal responsibilities and legal restrictions
- Increase non-interest income for the bank through proper assessment of fees
- Rotate Saturday schedule
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
