Job Summary
Greet clients proactively to establish rapport and deliver personalized experiences while assisting in the lobby to ensure continuous client attendance. Execute a variety of transactions including wire transfers, account openings, and check processing with high accuracy, adhering to strict security, BSA/AML, and cash handling policies. Identify client needs through active listening and needs-revealing questions to promote cross-selling opportunities and meet referral/sales goals. Develop business sales leads by scrubbing lists, manage safe deposit boxes, and handle complex tasks like ATM balancing and night depository duties. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ensure all teller work is scanned and documented correctly.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years prior banking experience which includes cash handling, sales, and client service
- Prior knowledge of the procedures and policies related to the function of a bank teller
- A working knowledge of the on-line computer system or teller terminal
- Must have proven abilities in needs-based sales and high-level client servicing skills
- Ability to prepare or interpret detailed written materials and/or perform detailed mathematical functions accurately
- Able to accurately handle the most complex transactions efficiently
- Be security conscious, accurate and attentive to detail
- An understanding of compliance with Federal & State laws governing teller areas
- A demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals and maintain a high level of client service
- May need to work extended hours that may include weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Strong sales background is a plus
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
