Job Summary
Conduct experiments for research projects, including molecular laboratory work, ddPCR analysis, and data interpretation for ctDNA-based assay development. Perform specialized examinations for low-frequency variant detection and document all activities in approved electronic laboratory notebooks while adhering to IRB, ACUC, and federal regulatory protocols. Assist with purchasing and inventory management for research supplies and reagents. Generate reports for project evaluation and maintain safety compliance under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, microbiology, biochemistry or a closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work rotating shifts as required
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required
- Ability to perform job functions in an upright position
- Ability to perform job functions in a seated position
- Ability to perform job functions while walking/mobile
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work indoors
- Ability to work in all cold temperature extremes
- Ability to bend at the waist
- Ability to twist at the waist
- Ability to perform 'pinching' operations

Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment
- Demonstrated experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS), digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), liquid handling/automation platforms, and related molecular assay platforms and techniques
- Strong organizational and project management skills
