Job Summary
Develop and implement core game features within Unity 3D, focusing on multiplayer functionality including matchmaking and session flow. Write clean, modular C# code while collaborating with designers and artists to bring concepts to life. Troubleshoot and optimise for VR performance across multiple devices, enhancing tools and workflows to support efficient development within an agile, iterative environment. This role contributes directly to gameplay, performance, and feature design for a new magic-themed VR multiplayer game. The team provides VR equipment, milestone bonuses, and training support in a hybrid Malta-based setup.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in Unity C# development
- Strong background in VR development (OpenXR, interaction systems, physics)
- Experience with networked gameplay (Photon, NGO, or FishNet)
- Familiar with UI, animation, and live multiplayer services (IAP, voice chat, Steamworks, etc.)
- Skilled in optimisation for mobile/VR (URP, draw calls, occlusion)
- Excellent grasp of game architecture, debugging, and design patterns
- A collaborative, detail-oriented team player with a passion for VR and fantasy worlds
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in a hybrid Malta-based setup
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with FishNet networking, ShaderGraph, VFX creation, or Unity Timeline
- Prior experience releasing a game
- An appreciation for the observer pattern (you know who you are )
