Job Summary
Conduct on-the-job training for newly hired aircraft mechanics and deliver annual refresher sessions covering engine run/taxi qualification, de-icing, flight line driving, and health safety protocols. Coordinate training schedules for external vendors and maintain comprehensive training records and documents for the work unit. Perform necessary flight attendant duties while ensuring strict adherence to company policies, safety culture, and quality procedures. Work the flight line in shifts including days, swing, or graveyard, with potential requirements for NDT inspections and physical demands involving lifting up to 75 pounds and working at heights up to 60 feet. Maintain a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, engine run and taxi qualification on assigned aircraft types, and a Top Secret US Government security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years mechanic or Inspector experience on jet aircraft operated by the Company
- Attain engine run and taxi qualification on all aircraft types assigned
- Qualify for RII items listed in the company General Maintenance Manual deemed necessary by the Chief Inspector
- Ability to qualify for and be granted a Government security clearance
- Current state issued driver's license
- Ability to work at heights as much as 60 feet above ground
- Eyesight must be 20/20 or correctable to 20/20 with eyewear or contacts
- Ability to work NDT inspections
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stoop, stretch and squat
- Ability to climb
- Ability to bend
- Ability to walk
- Ability to work in both a shop environment and a field environment
- Ability to work shifts including days, swing, or graveyard
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Ability to maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment
