Job Summary
Unit Staff Assistant provides administrative and support functions to the adoption teams, including records management, referrals to community resources, meeting coordination, travel and vehicle support, and training assistance (e.g., car seat training). The role requires trauma-informed care principles, effective written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ability to travel locally and regionally, and the ability to maintain documentation, minutes, and monthly/quarterly reports. Must maintain professional conduct, support a safe and respectful environment for children and families, and work as part of a team under the Director of Adoptions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Two (2) years of human services experience and/or experience working in an office environment
- Valid Florida driver’s license and insurable by the YFA’s insurance carrier
