Job Summary
Unit Service Aide provides support to staff delivering direct patient care, performing clinical and non-clinical duties, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote residents' quality of life. Responsibilities include answering call lights, distributing water and food, gathering belongings, assisting with meal and mobility needs, facilitating group or individual activities, coordinating with nursing staff to align activities with patient preferences, monitoring engagement, maintaining a safe and clean recreational environment, offering emotional support, assisting with event/program setup for patients, and communicating with families to enhance patient experiences.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Experience in healthcare, caregiving, recreational therapy setting, or related work 1-2 years preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage patients in activities that promote emotional and social well-being
