Job Summary
Maintain clinical standards and administer high-quality, patient-focused health care while acting as an advocate for individual patient rights and informed decision-making. Document all clinical patient care data accurately on paper charts and EMR, including Narcotics and Medication Sales Logs, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and protecting private health information. Respond to patient and pharmacy phone consultations, offer and fill medications as prescribed, and accept payments for self-pay patients or balances. Restock supplies and medications, make copies of X-rays, and scan pertinent documents to keep charts current. Participate in department quality improvement activities, attend meetings, and complete required regulatory training. Work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to travel to surrounding clinics to support the practice.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel to surrounding clinics to support
- Required to work 12 hours shifts, weekends and holidays
- Required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout workday
- Finger dexterity and hand coordination required
- Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)
- Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus
Desired Qualifications
- One-year medical office experience preferred, but not required
