Job Summary
Support unit operations by assisting nursing staff and ensuring efficient patient care in the Pediatric Med Surg unit. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining standardized equipment and supplies, thoroughly cleaning and storing equipment, applying professional judgment, utilizing independent decision-making, and transporting specimens to the lab while retrieving blood products from Transfusion Services. Requires collaboration with the nursing team and strong interpersonal skills; High school graduate or equivalent preferred with nurse assistant certification preferred. Evening shift; FTE 0.6 (part-time).
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Recent experience in a health care environment
- Certification as a nurse assistant preferred
