Unit Manager Skilled Nursing

Oversee resident care activities for assigned units, focusing on infection prevention for high-risk areas including urinary catheters, wound care, incontinence management, and medication injections. Conduct daily rounds, provide shift reports, and assume essential clinical responsibilities when RN/LPN staff are absent. Monitor staff delivery of care, evaluate resident care plans, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR while liaising with residents, families, physicians, and staff. Participate in the facility's QAA Committee, annual infection control risk assessments, and unit performance improvement programs. Assist staff in prioritizing care needs and coach the team on geriatric nursing principles.
