Job Summary
Unit Manager - RN leads day-to-day nursing operations on an assigned unit within a newer skilled nursing facility, supervising staff, coordinating staffing, ensuring care plans and physician orders are followed, and driving regulatory compliance, quality metrics, and resident-centered care. The role collaborates with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to support staff performance, admissions/transfers/discharges, documentation, and overall unit performance; requires an active RN license and leadership capability with preferred SNF/long-term care experience and wound care certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (preferred)
- 1-3 years of nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
- Wound Care Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, nursing standards
- Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
