Job Summary
Unit Manager leading nursing operations in a long-term care setting. Must be a licensed LVN or RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing and evaluating systems supporting resident care, resolving resident and family concerns, implementing and evaluating nursing procedures, developing care plans based on assessments, educating residents and families on health conditions, participating in quality assurance and compliance, maintaining documentation, stepping in for general nursing duties during emergencies or staffing shortages, and using electronic medical records with basic computer proficiency. Ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, leadership and collaboration, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Nacogdoches, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed LVN or RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Experience in long-term care preferred but not required
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for resident-centered care
- Professional communication and collaboration with others
- Ability to stay organized, calm, and focused under pressure
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
