Job Summary
Direct nursing staff, manage patient admissions, discharges, and daily care while answering call lights and administering services within scope. Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and families to create individualized care plans, arrange diagnostic and therapeutic services, and ensure residents follow dietary allowances. Lead training initiatives, review care plans daily, and document nursing notes accurately. Maintain Relias training, follow drug protocols, and notify agencies of incidents. Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as appropriate while ensuring compliance with facility rights and regulations.

- ability to administer services within the applicable scope of nursing practice
- ability to admit, transfer, and discharge residents as appropriate
- familiarity with the rights of residents in a skilled nursing facility
- ability to maintain Relias training and in-service requirements
- ability to follow drug administration protocol, to include the disposal of drugs and narcotics as required
- ability to perform charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations
- ability to review care plans daily to verify that appropriate care is being rendered
