Job Summary
Unit Manager (LPN) responsible for supervising the delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit. Assess resident needs, develop care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise CNAs and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. Duties include supervising nursing personnel, documenting services for billing, writing admission notes, identifying nursing problems, implementing care plans in line with physician orders and facility policies, coordinating with therapy and nursing to optimize reimbursement, daily rounds, discharge planning, charting, audit of nursing charges, and acting as Charge Nurse when needed. Requires leadership, organizational skills, and a genuine caring for elderly and disabled residents.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current state license
- Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills
- Good leadership qualities
- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
- Comply with the Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
- Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below
- Perform Essential Duties as outlined above
