Job Summary
Unit Manager (LPN) responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations of a nursing unit within a skilled nursing facility. Lead and supervise nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs, and other clinicians), ensure care aligns with physician orders and care plans, participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, and monitor regulatory compliance through documentation and infection-control practices. Role includes resident assessments, care planning support, incident investigation, medication administration oversight, and coordination of admissions/transfers/discharges. Provides leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff; collaborates with physicians, therapists, social workers, and the broader health-care team; supports quality-improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys in line with CMS and PA Department of Health requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively
