Job Summary
Provide independent supervision of care delivery to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, and administer nursing care while evaluating outcomes. Supervise Nurses, Care Specialists, and other personnel, including other RNs when applicable. Ensure effective, outcome-focused nursing care is delivered through the nursing process, identifying needs and providing input for discharge planning throughout the length of stay. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to share information relevant to changing plans of care. Maintain optimum resident care and comfort by demonstrating current nursing practices. Requires current LPN license, CPR certification, and geriatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state
- current CPR certification
- Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics
- capable of maintaining regular attendance
