Job Summary
Provide independent supervision of care delivery to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administer nursing care, and evaluate outcomes. Supervise Nurses, Care Specialists, and other personnel, including other RNs. Ensure effective, quality, outcome-focused nursing care through the nursing process while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning. Deliver optimum resident care and comfort by demonstrating current nursing practices. Requires a current LPN license, CPR certification, and geriatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state
- current CPR certification
- Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics
- capable of maintaining regular attendance
