Job Summary
Provide independent supervision of care delivery to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Assess resident needs, develop individualized care plans, and administer nursing care while evaluating outcomes. Supervise Nurses, Care Specialists (CNA), and other personnel, including other RNs. Assure effective, outcome-focused nursing care through the nursing process, identify needs for discharge planning, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement cost-efficient plans. Maintain resident comfort and demonstrate current nursing practices. Requires current LPN license, CPR certification, and geriatric experience. Required Qualifications
- current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state
- current CPR certification
- Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics
- capable of maintaining regular attendance
