Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of a nursing unit by supervising LPNs, CNAs, and support staff, creating schedules, and conducting performance evaluations. Manage patient care delivery by collaborating with physicians and therapists to develop care plans, monitor resident conditions, and provide direct treatments like medication administration and wound care. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations through accurate EHR documentation, regular audits, and participation in facility inspections. Serve as a liaison for residents and families while implementing quality improvement initiatives and infection control protocols. Requires an active LPN license, 2-3 years of nursing experience with 1 year in leadership, and proficiency in EHR systems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience
- Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to assess, plan, and implement patient care
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation
