Job Summary
Unit Manager responsible for resident care on the assigned unit; oversees nursing staff to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning; ensures complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow-up to Administrator and Director of Nursing; participates in committee/programs as directed by the Director of Nursing; contributes to development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs; requires active LPN/RN licensure in the state, and BLS certification; requires extensive nursing experience with supervisory background.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the applicable state
- BLS Certification (CPR)
- Five or more years of nursing experience
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or related health care center
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
