Job Summary
Maintains an organized, clutter-free, welcoming environment in the nursing station; conducts environmental rounds every 2 hours to ensure patient care items are returned to the bedside table and equipment is properly plugged in; monitors PALS and BEDBOARD and notifies the primary nurse or designee of updates or discrepancies; provides responsive customer service by addressing patient requests within scope of practice; assists with battery changes, telemetry lead placement, and new patient room setup and orientation; supports patient transport needs and serves as a resource for medical and nursing staff regarding the order entry process; ensures accurate patient location data in the computer and assists with discharge reconciliation; greets visitors with a positive demeanor and collaborates with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include computer proficiency and related healthcare operations.
