Job Summary
Assemble and deliver meals to patient rooms accurately and on time, verifying selections against dietary restrictions and physician orders. Communicate with cooks, nursing, and dietary teams regarding meal service needs and resolve patient requests promptly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards during delivery while ensuring proper handling of trays to prevent contamination. Follow hospital safety and infection control protocols at all times. Assist with stocking and organizing supplies in unit kitchens and document delivery details as required. Perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- ServSafe® Certification
- State Food Handlers Card
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
